As is required by the State of CT, all children who attend St. Paul’s Hilltop Christian Early Learning Center must have a current health assessment, including proof of immunizations on file, properly completed and signed by a licensed physician. A current health assessment form will show the child has had a complete physical within the last year. This information must be in each child’s record prior to the first day of school.
If your child is ill with a fever or contagious disease please keep him/her home. If your child develops a contagious disease, notify the teachers so we may inform other parents to the symptoms and treatment so they can look for symptoms in their child.
Trained teachers or the director may administer nonprescription topical medication (free of steroids, antibiotics, or fungal components), asthma medication (inhalers or nebulizers), and emergency medication (Epi-Pen, Prelone, Benadryl) when the criteria has been met to do this. Acetaminophen or its equivalent and Ibuprofen or its equivalent can also be administered in emergency situations based on Doctor’s specific written orders.
